The 2026 release features the spotted hyena, one of Africa's most distinctive and social predators. The reverse portrays a family of spotted hyenas alongside the outline of the African continent, creating a striking representation of the species in its natural environment. The design includes the inscriptions "AFRICAN OUNCE", "2026" and "1 oz FINE SILVER 999". The obverse displays the official Coat of Arms of Rwanda together with the 50 Francs denomination.
