The Rwanda Nautical Ounce series celebrates some of the most famous ships in maritime history, combining intricate ship designs with investment-grade .999 fine silver. The 2018 Endeavour release commemorates one of the most significant voyages of the 18th century.

The HMS Endeavour was commanded by Lieutenant James Cook during his first voyage to the South Pacific from 1768 to 1771. The expedition became particularly significant for Australia's history, as the Endeavour reached the eastern coast of Australia in 1770 during its voyage of exploration.

The reverse features a finely detailed depiction of the HMS Endeavour sailing across the open sea, accompanied by the Nautical Ounce series' signature compass rose and maritime elements. The obverse displays the Coat of Arms of Rwanda, along with the denomination and year of issue.
